The SS Mortlake Bank was a collier, built in Britain in 1924. She was once a similar size to the SS Ayrfield, but she was almost entirely broken up for scrap. Today only part of the stern section survives.

The remains of a wooden ship-breaking ramp lie rotting on the shore. About 50 metres away, the wreck of a small barge is hidden amongst the mangroves.
