Baan Baa Cricket Ground

I'd just driven through the little village of Baan Baa, New South Wales when I noticed the remains of an old double-decker bus in a field on the opposite side of the road. I've always had something of a soft spot for old double-decker buses, so I swung the car around and stopped to take a look. The field turned out to be the local cricket ground, and the old bus was serving as a grandstand.

I believe the bus was probably a Leyland Titan, which was last manufactured in 1969. I have no idea of when this particular bus was made, or where it was used before it was turned into a grandstand.

Most of the bodywork had been removed and replaced with steel grating, perhaps for improved ventilation. The interior had been stripped, and crude benches had been installed in place of the original seats. The stairs didn't inspire confidence, but a few steps looked relatively intact, so I cautiously climbed up to get some shots of the upper deck.
